Mr. Dogtags and I met in 2004 in high school. I was 16, he was 17. We were actually both part of a tight knit group of friends, and were around each other often. We started talking and there was just something magical about the way we could make each other laugh. I mean, sure lots of guys made me laugh but...there was just something about him. Something gravitational. {I know, cheesy right?}
On a Friday in February I decided he had to be
mine. Throwing all tradition out the window I had no patience to wait for him to ask me out, so I asked
him out instead. He of course said yes
because who can say no to this face? just kidding! and our official first day of the rest of our lives together began on February 19, 2005.
I graduated Top 10% and after high school we got an apartment together, we both started college, and found jobs. I was so happy to have found a man with the same work ethics and family values that I had. Since we both liked working it wasn't long before we had each bought new cars and so began real life!
In April of 2009, Mr. Dogtags proposed to me. It was among our closest friends in a bowling alley and truthfully was not very romantic, but I wouldn't change a thing about that night. :) My ring is beautiful and to top it off, he had the center diamond removed from the ring that I inherited from my grandmother, and had it placed in the center of
my ring. :) I got busy and fully planned our wedding in 8 months ( as you can probably tell I don't like waiting on things.)
On December 11, 2009 we had the most beautiful wedding. That was over a year ago and we are so happy to start the next chapter of life together--the military life. We both know about the challenges we will soon face but we are ready to lock hands and take that leap of faith together. In April 2011 My husband left for BCT. I love this man with all my heart and I will follow him anywhere. He is my rock and I couldn't imagine my life without him.
