My little brother now has his driving permit. This brings tears to my eyes and make me so proud, but not in the normal way a sister would be. As many of you remember, on March 29th, 2010 at 13 years old, Cody was struck by an SUV while riding his bike. He was lifeflighted to Memorial Hermann where he spent 3 days in a coma, sustaining a cracked skull, bleeding in the brain, and clotting complications. We were told for many days that he probably wouldnt survive. He was in the ICU for over a month, and then several months of physical therapy and medication followed. Today he survives with only one side effect of the accident, his loss of smell. He is one of the strongest guys I know and I am so proud to see him reach this milestone. Even though the accident was 2 years ago, I still thank God for all the prayers and support my family recieved during that dark time in our lives. So, congrats bro, I am so proud of you. ♥
