Do you remember last week, my heated blog post about United Airline's
new pet policy that could cost military families traveling overseas on orders
upwards of $4000 to ship their pets??
Well I am pleased to say that due to the overwhelming feedback from military members on their facebook page and emails and phone calls to their corporate office, United has decided to alter their policy to make an exception for military members traveling on official government orders. The price will still be an increase from their $283 flat rate that they had in the past, but the third party handling fee that would have cost some hundreds or even thousands more, is being waived for those who qualify.

I have to say that I personally am very pleased that a company actually took the customer feedback into account and are making a change. They could have ignored us all and went on with their business, but changes have been made and we should thank them.
If you would like to leave a comment on United's Facebook page, you can do so HERE.
Just thought I would share the good news!
Great job to everyone who made their voices heard! We did it!
