Hey everyone. Hope you are all having a great October so far!
Fall is seriously my favorite time of year, followed closely by winter.
I love the cold. I rather be cold than hot ANY DAY. Some people think that's weird.
My life has been completely consumed lately with our upcoming PCS and the decisions that come with it.
Including:
1. We have decided that we are doing a DITY move. It's going to be almost TOO easy, considering all of our HHG are already in boxes and stored in a storage unit waiting for us in Texas. When I decided to move here to his AIT location I literally packed our whole house away and brought only the essentials with me. A DITY in this case is going to be cake because now all we have to do is rent our UHAUL, get the weight tickets done, load the boxes up, and head the Colorado!!
2. We have decided we will prefer to live On Post. We made this decision for many reasons, overall we just feel like it would be the best choice for us. From what I have been told the waiting list for the type of housing that we qualify for is only 1-3 months. To some of you that may seem like a long time but when compared to the 9-12 month wait that the rest of the housing is under, I will gladly accept 1-3! If the wait is longer than 3 months we plan on finding a house somewhere off post to rent on a temporary basis.
3. We have decided it's time to get our fur baby Bella a little friend to play with. We have been perusing the internet for a few days now looking at puppies! *Big Smile* So excited to get to Ft. Carson and start our new life!!!
For those of you not familiar with Ft. Carson here is just one reason I am so excited:
It's just BEAUTIFUL there.
This Texas girl won't know how to act seeing those snow capped mountains every day!
Mr. Dogtags and I have both had the privilege of visiting Colorado many years ago and we both have been dying to go back! So glad we are getting our chance.
