I experienced my very first earthquake today here on the east coast.
It was interesting to say the least! I was partially confused and didn't suspect that it was an earthquake until the trembling had finally stopped. I thought a few 18 wheelers had crashed into my apartment building or something! LOL
A 5.8 earthquake that originated in central VA and was felt all the way up to Canada!
My husband called to check on me shortly after the quake. He told me he was bent over sweeping dirt into a dustpan and the quake made him topple right over! HAHA.
To top things off we have a hurricane coming up this way later this week. I'm not so worried about it.
I'm from the gulf coast so I am used to lots and lots of hurricane activity.
