I thought I would do something different and share a recipe with you all. I'm no chef, but my family really likes my simple stir fry recipe. There are quite a few ingredients, but nothing is exotic and I'm fairly certain that most of you probably keep all the these ingredients on hand anyway.
This recipe is also extremely healthy compared to restaurant versions.
As with other recipes, you can substitute or omit certain things that you may not like.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cubed)
1 Tbl Sesame Seeds
1 Tbl Black Pepper
2 Tbl Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 1/2 Cups Water
4 Tbl Beef Bullion granules
2 cups rice
3 cups Vegetables - or 1 bag of frozen stir fry veggies store bought
I use: (fresh or frozen, not canned)
-Red Bell Peppers
- Snap Peas
First, heat your wok (or pan) and coat the wok with the olive oil.
Chop your chicken into 1" cubes and add to wok
Add sesame seeds - let brown
Allow chicken to cook
It should now look like this: (smells great)
**Stir. Allow chicken to fully cook.**
Next, add your:
beef bullion cubes
vegetables (all of them)
Should now look like this:
Let that boil - 7-8 minutes or until vegetables are cooked through and tender and rice is done.
(4 - 6 servings)
Hope you like it! Enjoy!
As many of you may know, I am a graphic designer. I have been playing around with some royalty free vector graphics that I found online and I have taken bits and pieces from several images and built this new graphic.
What do you think?
I know it's not "military" related in any way but this is what we are, newlyweds. I like it!
Let me know!
