Last Post.

This will be my last blog post before I leave to go see my husband graduate!

I am so excited, to express just how excited I am, let me put it this way:

I was so anxious to get to SC that I actually tried to bump my flight one day sooner. Of course, this would have meant paying the difference if the ticket price changed, adding another day to the car rental, and adding another night to my hotel reservations, meals, etc.

I'm being a little impatient! LOL

But I somehow controlled myself.
This week has really been one of the slowest weeks of my life!

Iv'e been thinking about having to say goodbye to him AGAIN for another 3 months. I hate when I do things like this. I skipped the reunion, and the 2 days we WILL get to spend time together and went right to the goodbyes. I need to stop doing that.

Now there is some issues with his AIT orders. The post where he was ORIGINALLY supposed to go for AIT, as of last week no longer will teach AIT for his specific MOS. So now neither one of us knows exactly where he will be going for his AIT, and it is literally days before his graduation. His orders have not been rewritten yet, so we are just sitting here unaware of where his next step may be.

I have all my packing done and got my sister and myself pampered at the nail salon yesterday.
We are ready to go!

Can't wait to share pictures with you all.

Last Minute Preparations

So here it is, Tuesday night...and this week is KILLING ME with how slow it is going! LOL

I am literally DAYS away from seeing my husband and I just Can. Not. Wait.

I received his PT score and I am so proud of him. He worked SO HARD in the 6 months that he had between enlistment and shipping to basic. I remember in the beginning he couldn't do 40 sit ups at all even without a time limit, and running 2 miles took him 22+ minutes. I told him not to give up!
Now he has aced his PT test and can run 2 miles in 14:26.

Saying I am extremely excited and proud would be the understatement of the year.

So, in this last week before my trip I am trying to get everything together, and pray to the good Lord that I don't forget anything important.

I have his AIT bag packed with his requests: Laptop (secretly preloaded with SKYPE, a Netflix account, and several of his favorite DVD's.) MP3 Player, some civilian clothes, a garment bag, some casual shoes, some sunflower seeds, some sudoku books and a few other things. Including some birthday cards from myself and other people for his 23rd birthday coming up soon.

The biggest surprise will be his laptop. He has no idea I just bought him a brand new top of the line laptop and he will be so happy! I can't wait to give it to him. It's my graduation/birthday present to him.
He deserves it!

I have printed all my travel documents:

1. Flight Itinerary
2. Rental Car Confirmation
3. Hotel Confirmation
4. Maps from Airport to Hotel

I have my Camera memory card cleared and several sets of batteries.
I have my GPS device packed.

The only thing I have left to do is laundry, and then PACK! :) I hope I remember to pack everything! I am usually good about those things but in such excitement one can tend to be forgetful.

I will be posting lots and lots of pictures of my trip to South Carolina!

Did I forget anything????
